Rustle

What can I say?? ADORABLE! But in a very unusual, ugly, hilarious way. If that makes any sense! He is such a huge character. My Farmer doesn't understand why the rest of us love him so much. He thinks Rustle is very over-rated.

But what's not to like in a tiny, long legged, black and white terrier? He loves cuddles, being carried around, trying to catch the spaniels on our walks, wrestling with Martha, sleeping with Alfie, and pretending he wants to catch the farm cat...we know the truth Rustle!

A month older than Flo(and a quarter of the size!), he arrived when Moles puppies were four weeks old. He just joined the heap of bodies and Mole became his mum too. So sweet to see.

His two best friends outside of the family are Linda, our neighbour, and Simon, the postman. Rustle will take himself off, whenever he fancies, to visit Linda. He trots up the farm drive and appears at her gate, barking his hello. Linda will scoop him up and carry him home, chatting to him all the way. They adore each other.

Simon always has dog biscuits in his van, so Rustle will race to the stable door and wait for one to be handed over as the letters are dropped in onto the shelf. He has been known to chase the post van up the lane if he arrived too late for a biscuit! I suspect Simon thinks we are all mad here!

Little Rustle is the perfect farm dog. He is free to wander around within reason, and likes to get involved in any work to be done. He hates the car, loves to sleep with maximum amount of skinny body stretched along the Aga, and absolutely stinks! But we still love him. Character has a lot to answer for!
